During the treatment, intense pulses of light are emitted into the skin.
The light is absorbed by the melanin pigment in sunspots or the
hemoglobin in visible vessels and converted into heat. The heat damages
the excess pigment in the skin and closes the blood vessels.
Typically, 3-4 treatments are needed to achieve the best results.
