How does it work?
Intense pulses of light are emitted into the skin. The light is
absorbed by the pigment in sunspots or the blood in visible vessels and
converted into heat. The heat damages the cells that create the pigment
and shrinks the blood vessels.
How many treatments would I need?
Treatments are generally based on the amount of sun damage or visible
vessels in the treatment area. Typically 2-4 treatments that are about
four weeks apart are needed to clear most sun damage. To maintain good
results, you must protect your skin from excessive exposure to the sun.
Applying sunblock daily to the treatment area will aid in this process.
How long do the treatments take?
Depending on the size of the area being treated, a treatment will
last between 15 and 45 minutes. |
